4.4 Main components
UniGear 500R switchgear is equipped with a Vmax
removabl vacuum circuit -breaker.
The circuit-breaker is connec ted in series with a
three-position "off-load" disconnector (ON – OFF –
EARTH).

4.4.1. Vmax
circuit-breaker(Figure 32)
The Vmax circuit -breaker, is a vacuum circuit-breaker
with mechanical operating mechanism. It is installed in
the circuit-breaker/cable compartment
(Figure 24)

The circuit-breaker can be tripped either mechanically
(with push-buttons 1 and 2) or electrically, according
to the interlocking logics.
On request, the circuit -breaker can be equipped with
an electric geared motor for charging the operating
springs. It is always possible to use the lever (5) to
manually charge the operating springs.
