Make sure that you are familiar with the controls and properly operate the machine. You must learn how to stop the machine quickly. Safety Information Work Area • Make sure you thoroughly inspect the entire work area and remove all objects and anything that could be thrown by the machine or could damage the machine (branches, stones, wire, toys, etc.). Attempting to clear the work area whilst using the machine will reduce your concentration and creates a trip hazard.
Safety Information During Use • Always hold the unit with both hands when operating. Keep a firm grip on the handlebars. • Be aware that the machine may unexpectedly bounce upward or jump forward if the machine should strike buried obstacles such as large rocks or roots. Maintain a safe distance as provided by the handle frame.
Safety Information Vibrations (Where Applicable) • Prolonged use of hand held (operated) machines will cause the user to feel the effects of/from vibrations. These vibrations can lead to white finger (Raynaud’s phenomenon) or carpal tunnel syndrome. This condition reduces the ability of the hand to feel and regulate temperature, causing numbness and heat sensations and may cause nerve damage and circulatory tissue death.
Safety Information Battery Use & Care • Recharge only with the charger specified by the manufacturer. A charger that is suitable for one type of battery pack may create a risk of fire when used with another battery pack. • Use power tools only with specifically designated battery packs. Use of any other battery packs may create a risk of injury and fire.

Safety Information Intended Use The HY2193 is a battery powered lawnmower from HYUNDAI. The HY2193 has a cutting width of 330mm and is powered by a 20V 2.0Ah Lithium-ion battery. The HY2193 is a garden tool and precisely a pedestrian controlled lawnmower. The machine is essentially composed of a battery which drives a blade enclosed in a casing, equipped with wheels and a handle.

Assembly HY2193 Assembly – Upper Handle Bar Line up the holes on the Upper Handle (3) with the corresponding ones on the Lower Handle (6). Place a Mounting Bolt (5) through each of the holes and Secure with a Wing Nut (4).
Assembly HY2193 Assembly – Grass Collection Box The Grass Collection Box comes in 3 pieces. Clip together the 2 halves of the Grass Collection Box Main Body (9) Then secure the Grass Collection Box Top Cover (8) to Grass Collection Box Main Body as shown below.
Assembly HY2193 Battery Charging Ensure the power source switch is OFF when plugging in Battery Charger Slide the Battery into the Battery Charger, by lining up the terminals on both. It will be secured with an affirmative *click!*. NOTE – To remove the battery, press the Battery Release Button whilst pulling away from the Battery Charger.
Insert the Battery Pack into the cradle until secure. Give the battery a gently pull to ensure it’s seated correctly. HY2193 Battery Charge Status The unit has an LED state of charge indicator on the handlebar and on the battery itself..
Operation HY2193 Safety Key WARNING - Before Operation you MUST read and fully understand the whole user manual The lawnmower has a safety key. The key is located under the battery cover. By removing the key, the power supply to the motor is interrupted.
Operation HY2193 Starting WARNING - Before Operation you MUST read and fully understand the whole user manual WARNING – Before Starting ensure the Battery and Safety Key are both inserted. WARNING – Before operation, ensure the Mulching Plug is removed from the Grass Outlet if Mulching is not required.
Operation HY2193 Cutting Height Adjustment WARNING – When adjusting the cutting height, ALWAYS ensure the machine is off and the cutting blade is not spinning 1. To adjust the cutting height, pull the Cutting Height Adjustment Lever (15) away from the machine.
If it is closed, this indicated the Grass Collection Box needs to be emptied. HY2193 Grass Collection Box Emptying Empty the grass collector frequently during use. Do not wait until it is completely full. We recommend emptying it when it is half full.
Lawn Care General Tips • Maintain a constant cutting height. Do not shorten the grass to less than half its original height. • Under certain conditions, such as very tall grass, it may be necessary to raise the height of cut to reduce pushing effort, prevent overloading of the motor and leaving clumps of grass clippings.
Maintenance & Care General Maintenance WARNING : Turn off the machine, allow all moving parts to come to a complete stop, and disconnect the power cord before maintaining the machine. You need to wear proper clothing and protective gloves whenever your hands are at risk.
