Assembly Step 2 : Attach Central Panel Slide the OPC lever to the right to remove from the hole in the handle. Disconnect the cable from the OPC lever. Feed the cable through the hole in the control panel. Reconnect the cable to the OPC lever. Re-insert the OPC lever into the locating hole in the handlebar.
Assembly Step 3 : Cable Attachment NOTE - If stood behind the lawnmower: OPC Cable : Attaches to the lever in front of the main handlebar if traced, will attach to the engine. Drive Cable : Attaches to the lever behind the main handlebar and if traced, will enter the deck of the lawnmower behind the engine.

Preparation Before Each Use YOU MUST read and understand the full safety instruction manual before starting the machine. Always ensure that the machine is in a safe working condition. Inspect and check safety devices and guards and check all nuts, bolts and screws are secure. Check the oil level and fill the fuel tank.
Preparation Adding Oil Oil Type : SAE 30 or 15w40 Engine Oil Oil Capacity : 500ml NOTE - The machine is delivered without oil in the engine. All machines are tested and inspected so there may be some residual oil left in the machine so please fill with caution. Remove the oil filler cap.
Preparation Adding Fuel Make sure you read the fuel safety before handling fuel. Fuel Type : Fresh Straight Unleaded Petrol Fuel Capacity : 1.8L NOTE - The machine is delivered without petrol. All machines are tested and inspected so there may be some residual petrol left in the machine so please fill with caution.
Preparation Charging The Battery Plug the charger into a domestic plug socket and wait for the green power indicator light to turn on. Slide the battery into the charger and the charging indicator light should turn red. Once the battery has been fully charged, the charging indicator light should turn green to indicate that the battery is fully charged.
Preparation Inserting / Removing The Battery To insert the battery, lift the battery cover on the centre panel and slot it into place. Close the battery cover. To remove the battery, lift the battery cover on the centre panel and press down on the tab and pull the battery out.

Lift the catch on the side discharge flap and lift the flap. Hook the side discharge chute over the mounting points and lower the side discharge flap until it rests on the side discharge chute.

Starting Procedure Recoil Start Make sure the blade is free of long grass and the cutting height is set to the highest setting. Pull the Operator Presence Control (OPC) lever back towards the main handlebar. Gently pull the recoil start handle until you feel resistance, then pull swiftly until the lawnmower starts.
Stopping Procedure CAUTION - The engine and exhaust will remain hot for a while after use. Ensure the engine and exhaust has cooled before carrying out any maintenance, refuelling or storage.
