    1. SAFETY General Safety Notes. The operator of the machine is responsible for, and has a duty of care in making sure that the machine is operated safely and in accordance with the instructions in this user manual. Keep the manual safe and pass it on if the machine is loaned or sold to another user.

    3. BATTERY AND CHARGER INSTRUCTIONS CAUTION Despite all safety precautions, caution must ALWAYS be exercised when handling batteries. The following points must be obeyed at all times to ensure safe use. Safe use can only be guaranteed if undamaged cells are used. Incorrect handling of the battery pack can cause cell damage.

    2.42 DO NOT exhaustively discharge the batteries. Exhaustive discharge will damage the battery cells. 2.43 The most common cause of exhaustive discharge is lengthy storage or non-use of partially discharged batteries. 2.44 Stop working as soon as the performance of the battery falls noticeably or the electronic protection system triggers.

    4. ASSEMBLY NOTE The batteries are not fully charged at the time of purchase. BEFORE using the mower for the first time, you MUST charge the batteries fully. A full charge will take approximately 70 to 80 minutes. WARNING ALWAYS remove the batteries BEFORE adjusting, adding accessories or checking a function of the tool.
  • Page 14 To install the grass catcher, lift the discharge door. While holding the door open, place the grass catcher with the handle side facing up into the grooves under the hinge of the rear discharge door. Ensure the grass catcher hooks rest properly inside their respective grooves. To install the mulching plug, lift the rear discharge door and remove the grass catcher.
  • Page 15 To install the side discharge chute, lift the side discharge door. NOTE DO NOT install the grass catcher, side chute and mulching plug simultaneously. When one is installed, the other two should not be. Place the hooks found on the side discharge chute into their respective grooves underneath the hinges of the side discharge door.
  • Page 16 3.16 To install or remove the battery. 3.17 The mower is equipped with two slots for batteries. 3.18 Open the clear lid to reveal the slots for both batteries and slide the battery into one of the two slots until it clicks into place. 3.19 Install the second battery in the same manner and ensure both batteries are fully inserted and latched into position.

    5. STARTING PROCEDURE NOTE Before starting the mower, make sure all adjustments have been made and that you have selected whether you will be using the grass catcher, mulching plug or side discharge port. Place the key into the ignition slot on the switch box. Push down the lockout button.

    Avoid cutting wet grass when possible. The lawnmower will have a harder time properly ejecting wet or damp grass from the deck, creating unwanted build-up on the underside of the mower. 6.10 After each lawn mowing session, remove the batteries from the machine and clean out any clippings from the underside of the mower deck to maximise lifespan.

    Batteries 7.10 make sure the batteries are fully charged before storage. 7.11 Do not store the battery backs on the mower. 7.12 After charging, the battery pack may be stored in the charger IF the charger is not plugged in. 7.13 For best performance, it is recommended to fully charge the batteries every three months.
