7. Close the valve on the gas cylinder when having finished working, and place the torch on a non-
flammable surface to have it cool down when the flame has gone out. Proceed with maintenance
when the torch has cooled down.
Replacing the propane tank
Caution!
The cylinder should only be replaced outdoors.
It is important to keep a sufficient distance from ignition sources, persons, and flammable ma-
terials. Before replacing the gas cylinder, make sure that gas remaining in the hose has been
used up.
When changing the gas bottle, it is important to close the valve of the propane bottle tightly and
to make sure that the burner is extinguished before loosening the gas bottle.
1.
To change the propane-gas bottle, the pressure regulator of the propane-gas bottle must be
unscrewed. All other parts of the device can remain connected.
2. After each connection to the propane cylinder, the device must be checked again for leaks. In
addition, the device, including the propane-gas hose, should be checked for operational safety
before use.
3. The hose should be replaced immediately if it is brittle, cracked, or damaged.
Maintenance
After dismantling, all parts should be checked carefully.
The device can be cleaned with a dry cloth when the burner has cooled down. Do not use
detergents, as they may block the burner holes and gas nozzle.
When maintenance work has been completed, all parts of the device must be thoroughly dried.
It is forbidden to use the burner with cleaning-agent residues.
Check the permeability of the burner nozzle. If it is dirty, clean it carefully with a thin wire. Avoid
enlarging or changing the shape of the nozzle opening.
Storage and transport
At the end of work and before storage and transport, disconnect the tool from the propane cyl-
inder by unscrewing the pressure regulator.
Ensure that the gas-regulating valve is closed and the device has cooled down completely be-
fore storing or transporting it in a safe and dry place.
Secure the tool during transport.
