BEFORE THE FIRST USING YOUR ELECTRIC STORAGE WATER
HEATER, CAREFULLY READ THIS OPERATION MANUAL
Congratulations on your purchase of an electric water heater THERMEX.
Water heaters THERMEX are designed and manufactured in strict accordance with
domestic and international standards guaranteeing operation reliability and safety.
Present manual applies to THERMEX models of Day. The full name of the model
of your heater is specified in "Manufaturer's warranty" section (sub-section "Note of
sale") and in the marking plate on the heater casing.
Electric water heater (hereinafter referred to as the EWH) is designed to provide
with hot water for domestic and industrial facilities having a cold water supply line
pressure of not less than 0.05 MPa and not more than 0.8 MPa.
EWH shall be operated indoors in heated spaces and it is not designed for operation
in continuous flow mode.

EWH power supply shall be within the range of 230 V. Supply network frequency
50 Hz ± 1%. Volume of the inner tank and heating element power are specified in the
marking plate on the casing. Thread diameter in water inlet and outlet pipes - G1/2 ".
The manufacturer reserves the right to make changes to the design, complete set
and specifications of the heater without prior notice.

    SPECIFYING SECURITY MEASURES ы Electrical safety and corrosion protection of EWH are guaranteed only if there is an effective grounding in accordance with applicable electric installation rules and regula- tions. Plumbing pipes and fittings shall conform to parameters of water main and have the required certificates of quality.

    ARRANGEMENT AND INSTALLATION ы All installation, plumbing and electrical works shall be performed by qualified per- sonnel. EWH installation shall be performed in accordance with marking on the housing. It is recommended to install EWH as close as possible to the place of hot water using to reduce heat loss in the pipes.
  • Page 5 Connection to the water supply line shall be carried out in accordance with Fig. 1 ы using copper, plastic pipes or special flexible sanitary wiring. Do not use any used flex- ible wiring. It is recommended to supply water to EWH through filter installed on the cold water main (not included in the scope of supply).

    If the water pressure exceeds 0.8 MPa, at EWH cold water inlet, before the safety ы valve (in the direction of water flow), the appropriate pressure reducing valve (not sup- plied with the EWH) shall be installed to reduce water pressure to standard. CONNECTION TO POWER SUPPLY Prior to the water heater connection to electrical network, make sure its parameters complies with the technical specifications of the water heater.

    11. TECHNICAL MAINTENANCE ы When performing maintenance scale on THE is checked. At the same time residue that may accumulate in the bottom of the EWH is removed. MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY ы The manufacturer sets 2 years as the period of warranty for water heater, and warranty period for parts and components is as follows: - for water containing tank (inner tank) - 5 years; - for other components (heating element, thermostat, indicator lights, gaskets, tem- perature indicator, pressure relief valve) - 2 years.

SICHERHEITSMASSNAHMEN ы Die elektrische Sicherheit und der Korrosionsschutz des EWH sind nur gewähr- leistet, wenn eine wirksame Erdung gemäß den geltenden Regeln und Vorschriften für die Elektroinstallation vorhanden ist. Die Montage und der Anschluss der Brauchwasserleitungen sowie den Sicher- heitseinrichtungen müssen von einer zugelassenen Installationsfirma durchgeführt werden .
  • Page 15 7. AUFSTELLUNG UND INSTALLATION ы Die Auswahl des EWH muss nach dem benötigten Warmwasser bedarf erfolgen. Es wird empfohlen, den EWH so nah wie möglich an der Warmwasserentnahme zu installieren, um den Wärmeverlust in den Rohrleitungen zu reduzieren. Bei der Wahl des Aufstellungsortes ist das Gesamtgewicht des mit Wasser gefüllten EWH zu berücksichtigen.

  • Page 18 11. TECHNISCHE WARTUNG ы Bei Wartungsarbeiten werden die Heizstäbe überprüft. Gleichzeitig werden Rück- stände entfernt, die sich möglicherweise am Boden des EWH ansammeln. Wenn sich Kalk an dem Heizstab befindet, kann dieser mithilfe von Kalkentferner oder mechanisch entfernt werden. Es wird empfohlen, die erste technische Wartung je nach Nutzung und vorhandener Wasserhärte ein Jahr nach dem Anschluss durch eine Fachfirma durchführen zu lassen und je nach Intensität der Ablagerungen und Rückstände die Intervalle für die Folgewartung festzulegen.
  • Page 19 Bei Modellen mit Entleerung reicht es aus, den Kaltwasserzufluss in den EWH zu ы unterbrechen, den Abflussstutzen am Abflussrohr abzuschrauben und den Warmwas- serhahn zu öffnen. Sobald das Wasser abgelassen ist, können Sie die Kaltwasserzufuhr im EWH für eine zusätzliche Tankspülung für eine Weile öffnen. Bei der Durchführung von EWH-Wartungsarbeiten durch einen Fachbetrieb muss in dem Handbuch ein Vermerk über die durchgeführte Arbeit eingetragen werden.

Die Garantiezeit für einzelne Teile und Komponenten ist wie folgt:  für wasserführenden Behälter (Innentank) - 5 Jahre  für andere Komponenten (Heizelement, Thermostat, Kontrollleuchten, Dichtungen, Temperaturanzeige) - 2 Jahre.
