L. Belt
1. Remove pad driver.
2. Loosen the motor mounting bolts or nuts.
3. Slide motor forward and remove belt.
NOTE: On early models, it may be necessary to
rotate the belt tensioner to allow the
motor to slide. This tensioner was
removed on production units in 1990.
(Fig 9)
To install belt:
1. Position unit with nose upward. (Fig. 15)
2. Install belt. Be sure to match grooves on
inside of belt with grooves in the pulley.
3. In this position, the motor weight on the belt
provides sufficient tension for the belt.
NOTE: Check to insure the motor is not binding
in the mounting slots and the weight of
the motor is on the belt.
4. Tighten motor mounting bolts or nuts.
M. Pad driver sheave / bushing
1. Remove pad driver.
2. Remove belt.
3. Put the three pad driver retaining screws into
the threaded holes of the sheave / pulley.
Tighten them progressively to force the pulley
off of the bushing (Fig. 10)
4. Remove the pulley bushing by loosening the
set screw.
