NOTE: The positioning of this bushing is critical.

used to properly locate the bushing upon
reassembly.

* Slide bushing on shaft until it contacts lower
bearing race.
To reinstall pad driver sheave:
Put the sheave / pulley on the bushing flat side
down. Put the driver set screws through the
unthreaded holes in the sheave (pulley) and
screw them into the threaded holes of the
bushing. Tighten the screws progressively until
the sheave / pulley is flush with the top of the
bushing then remove the screws.

N. Pad driver bearings / drive shaft
NOTE: Disassembly of the pad driver bearings
will require a realignment upon
reassembly.
Reference Fig. 12 for instructions 1 - 4.
1. Loosen set screws in top and bottom race.
2. Remove lock ring.
3. Remove mounting bolts (4) and remove
bearings.
To check bearings:
With bearings removed, check to insure bearing
pivots freely in the bearing blocks. If bearing is
locked, replace bearing block assembly.
NOTE: Early bearing block assemblies
incorporate a grease fitting which has
been removed on current production
units. It is not recommended these
bearing blocks be greased.
