Keep pad holder clean and always use a clean
pad, changing pads frequently as they load up.
A motor overload condition could cause the built-
in circuit breaker to trip. If the circuit breaker
trips, wait 5 seconds, then reset breaker. If the
breaker continues to trip, consult the
troubleshooting section of this instruction for
possible causes.
III. Service / Disassembly
A. Handle (switch box)
NOTE: Service in the switch box is easier with
the handle flat, folded as shown.
To access the internal components of the upper
handle, remove the switch box cover (4 screws).
NOTE: Be sure the grounding washer is
positioned under one of the lower cover
screws when installing the cover.
B. Switch Lever
1. Remove the switch box cover and lever.
The lever is trapped into position by the cover.
NOTE: This lever has been strengthened by
shortening the length. The latest lever is
12-1/4" overall as opposed to 13-7/8" on
early production units (Fig. 1)
Check and update with the latest lever.
