Multi Playback
This camcorder can convert an NTSC recorded tape into "PAL60" or "M PAL" format signal, uPAL60"or
"M PAL
"
is a special output signal format with which a PAL TV can be used to view a tape recorded on
an NTSC recorder
.
^ Connect the camcorder to PAL TV as shown in
the figure on pages 50 and 51.
O Turn the TV on and select the TV "video input".
Set the TV to the PAL60 or M P AL mode.
3 Set the CAM / OFF / VI DEO switch of the cam¬
corder to VIDEO.
^ Press the MENU button:
The menu display will
appear.
CJ Press the STOP or PLAY
button to select "PAL
CONV.".
£ Press the FF or REW but¬
ton to display "PAL60"
or "M PAL".

g Press the PLAY button of the camcorder.
"PAL6Q" or "M PAL" will appear in the
viewfinder or on the LCD monitor.
Q When playback is finished, set the CAM/OFF /
VIDEO switch to OFF position.
Note: Connect the camcorder to a TV monitor
which has a vertical sync adjustment circuitry
(volume) for 60 Hz and which can aiso be
locked into the PAL60 mode. Refer to the TV
instruction manual for details on how to set the
TV. :
Note: This camcorder cannot record using the
PAL60 or M PAL system.

Note:
Depending on the state of the tape
recorded, this function may not operate nor¬
mally.
Note: This function will be released when the
camcorder is turned off.
