You can view recorded pictures on the LCD monitor immediately after recording.
Note: Make sure that "PAL60" does not appear in the viewfinder or on the LCD monitor: if it is displayed,
no color wiil appear in the played back picture ("Mufti Playback", p54).
| Open the LCD monitor, and then adjust the
angle of the monitor ("Opening the LCD
Monitor", pl4).
2 Hold down the small button on the CAM/OFF/
VIDEO switch. while sliding the switch to
VIDEO.
^ Press the REW button, to rewind the tape.
For fast forwarding the tape, press FF.
A Press the PLAY button and play back the tape.
To adjust the volume, press the FOCUS/VOL.
control buttons. When either button is pressed,
the volume adjustment display will appear on
the LCD monitor for about 5 seconds. Press A to
increase the volume, or press ▼ to decrease it.
After 5 seconds, the adjustment display will
automatically disappear.
3 Press the STOP button when you have finished.

Note: Decrease the sound volume of the cam¬
corder when you play back a recording by
connecting the camcorder to your TV. If the
volume of the camcorder is set to maximum,
the played back picture may be distorted.
Make sure that the volume is not set to maxi¬
mum during recording as it couid distort the
played back picture.
Note: When the LCD monitor is turned on and
left as it is, the monitor becomes warm, but this
does not indicate a fault.
Note: When the CAM/OFF/VIDEO switch is sel-
to CAM or VIDEO, the LCD monitor is turned on
and off automatically when the LCD monitor is
opened and closed.
Note: It is recommended that you close the
LCD monitor to save the battery power when
playing back a picture on a TV without viewing
it.
Note: Only the playback sound is heard. The
sound being recorded is not heard.
Note: No sound is heard when the LCD monitor
is closed.
• To Play Back a Tape with the
Viewfinder
Close the LCD monitor, then press the PLAY but¬
ton to play back the tape. The picture appears in
the viewfinder.
Note: You cannot hear the playback sound
when playing back your video with the
viewfinder.
