For the specific operation of the HART function in the transmitter, please refer to
the manuals of the HART-related equipment (such as handheld terminals and
supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system with upper-level
software, etc.)
9 Operation, maintenance and fault diagnosis
9.1 Preparation and inspection before operation
Upon completion of installation, it is recommended to perform an initial
zero adjustment (only for gauge pressure and differential pressure
products; where the measuring diaphragm is exposed to no pressure
or medium, and the transmitter is connected to atmospheric pressure)
as the installation position may impact zero setting. For optimal
accuracy, it is recommended to conduct a zero adjustment
approximately three weeks after installation, and subsequently, a
yearly zero adjustment is recommended.
Before powering on, the following items must be inspected:
Process connection;
Electrical connection;
The vent tube and measuring chamber of the transmitter are filled
with measuring medium.
9.2 Startup and operation procedures and precautions
To start up and shut down the pressure transmitter, the valve
manifold shall be operated in accordance with section 4.3.2.
