If you do not select a power level within one
minute, the hob switches off automatically.
-
You can change the power level at any time
during cooking.
• To switch off a cooking zone, select the cooking
zone again and set the power level back to 0.
Residual heat indicator
WARNING: Risk of burns!
Do not touch the cooking zones while the residual
heat indicator lights up.
After switching off the cooking zone, the residual
heat of the corresponding zone is indicated with [H].
This warns against touching the zone.
Automatic boiling
This function automatically switches from high power
for boiling/heating to the previously selected lower
power for further cooking.
• Set the power level for the desired zone to 9 and
press the button (M5), the corresponding zone
display shows [A] and [9] alternately.
• Within the next 30 seconds, select the lower
power level required for you to continue cooking.
The table below shows the cooking time (min) for
each power level (PL):

NOTE:
When changing the power level, the elapsed time is
automatically included in the corresponding cooking
time for the new power level.
Safety child lock
The appliance is equipped with a locking function to
prevent unintentional operation.
• Keep pressing the button (M6) for approx. 3 sec-
onds to activate (deactivate) the safety child lock.

The timer display indicates activation with [Lo].
All buttons, except the power button are locked
for operation.
When the timer function is active, the timer display
alternately shows the remaining time and [Lo].
Timer function
General information
• You can use the timer to automatically end the
cooking process on one or more zones after a
preset time.
• The timer can be set between 1 and 99 minutes.
As long as the minute display flashes in the timer
display, the setting can be overwritten.
• A red dot next to the power level indicates that a
timer has been set for this zone.
• The power level can be corrected at any time
without changing the time setting.
• The timer function is cancelled when the appli-
ance is switched off.
Using the timer to switch off one cooking zone
• Select the cooking zone that is already in opera-
tion and for which you want to set the timer.
• Press the button (M7) for the timer. The timer dis-
play lights up [00].
• Set the time using buttons (M5) and/or (M8).

Using the timer to switch off several cooking zones
• Do the timer setting for several cooking zones as
described under
cooking zone".
The timer display shows the remaining time of the
cooking zone for which the shortest maturity was se-
lected. The cooking zone can be recognized by the
flashing dot next to the power level.
When the operation period of this cooking zone is
elapsed, the display shows the remaining time of the
