8. TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem
Fitting leak
Filter housing leak
Purified water flow rate is
lower than normal
The system keeps switching
on and off and will not stop
The system will not switch on
The system will not switch off
The system has switched off
but continues to send water
to drain
*The power cable is not replaceable. If the cable is damaged, replace all power supply!

Possible cause
Tube is not connected tightly
O-ring seal is missing or
misaligned
Filter bowl is not tightened
Low feed water pressure
Clogged pre-filter
Clogged membranes
Bent flexible tube
Surges in feed water pressure
just above low pressure
switch setting
Feed valve or main shutoff
valve is closed.
Low pressure switch failure
Power supply cable is
damaged
High pressure switch failure
Solenoid valve failure
Method of handling
Remove and reinstall the tube
properly
Check that the O-ring seal is
correctly seated in circular
groove inside bowl
Hand tighten the housing till
snug
Check the inlet pressure
Replace pre-filter
Replace membranes
Inspect the tube
Eliminate pressure surges.
Check supply water piping for
clogs and other obstructions
and eliminate if present
Open all valves on supply
water pipes. Check for clogs/
obstruction.
Replace low pressure switch.
Verify proper electrical
contact
Replace power supply*
Replace high pressure switch.
Verify proper electrical
contact
Replace the solenoid valve
