WARNING
Removing inverter
coolant reservoir cap
Never remove the
inverter coolant reservoir cap whilst the
engine and radiator are hot. Hot coolant
and steam may blow out under pres -
sure, causing serious injury.
Changing coolant
Have the coolant replaced by a profes -
sional workshop. Kia recommends to
visit an authorised Kia dealer/service
partner.
CAUTION
Put a thick cloth around the coolant res -
ervoir cap before refilling the coolant in
order to prevent the coolant from over -
flowing into engine parts such as the
alternator.

Checking the Hybrid Starter &
Generator (HSG) belt
We recommend that you have the
Hybrid Starter & Generator (HSG) belt
inspected or replaced according to the
Maintenance Schedule in this chapter by
an authorised Kia dealer/service partner.
CAUTION
When the HSG belt is worn out or dam -
aged, replace the belt. Otherwise, it may
cause engine overheating or battery dis -
charge.
WARNING
僅 Turn the vehicle off whilst you inspect
the engine or Hybrid Starter & Gener -
ator (HSG) belt. Otherwise it may
result in serious injury.
僅 Keep hands, clothing etc. away from
the Hybrid Starter & Generator (HSG)
belt
