Surround View Monitor malfunc -
tion
When Surround View Monitor is not
working properly, or the screen flickers,
or the camera image does not display
normally, Kia recommends visiting an
authorised Kia dealer/service partner.
Limitations of Surround View
Monitor
僅 The screen may be displayed abnor -
mally, and an icon will appear at the
top left side of the screen under the
following circumstances:
- The tailgate is opened.
- The driver or front passenger door
is opened.
- The outside rear view mirror is
folded.
WARNING
僅 ALWAYS look around your vehicle to
make sure there are no objects or
obstacles before moving the vehicle.
What you see on the screen may dif -
fer from the actual vehicle's location.
僅 The image shown on the screen may
differ from the actual distance of the
object. Make sure to directly check the
vehicle's surroundings for safety.
僅 Surround View Monitor is designed to
be used on a flat surface. Therefore, if
used on roads with different heights
such as kerbs and speed bumps, the
image in the screen my not look cor -
rect.
僅 If the camera lens is covered with for -
eign material, the Surround View
Monitor may not operate normally.
Always keep the camera lens clean.
Surround View Monitor (SVM)
However, do not use chemical sol -
vents such as strong detergents con -
taining high alkaline or volatile
organic solvents (petrol, acetone etc.).
This may damage the camera lens.
NOTICE
僅 When Rear View whilst Driving is on, it
stays on whilst driving regardless of
vehicle speed.
僅 When Rear View whilst Driving is on
whilst Reversing, the screen changes
to the rear view.
