僅 If there is no problem with the opera -
tion and the messages above are con -
stantly displayed, have your vehicle
inspected by a professional workshop.
Kia recommends to contact an
authorised Kia dealer/service partner.
僅 Icy road warning
When the following conditions occur,
the warning light (including outside
temperature gauge) blinks 5 times
and then appears, and also warning
chime sounds once.
僅 Battery discharging due to external
electrical devices
The vehicle can detect self-discharge
of the battery due to over current that
is generated by unauthorised electri -
cal devices such as dashboard cam -
era (dash cam) mounting during
parking.
If the warning continues even after
external electrical devices are
removed, have your vehicle inspected
by a professional workshop. Kia rec -
ommends to contact an authorised
Kia dealer/service partner.
僅 Press START button again
- You could start the engine by
pressing the ENGINE START/STOP
button once more.

Self-discharge of the battery due to overcurrent that is generated
by unauthorised electrical devices
Electronic Control Suspension (ECS) system has malfunction or is
operating improperly.
The ENGINE START/STOP button cannot be operated due to a
problem with the ENGINE START/STOP button system
The ENGINE START/STOP button is pressed whilst the Key not
detected warning message is displayed
The fuel tank is almost out of fuel. The low fuel level warning light
in the cluster will come on
- If the warning message is displayed
each time you press the ENGINE
START/STOP button, have the vehi -
cle inspected by a professional
workshop. Kia recommends to visit
an authorised Kia dealer/service
partner.

僅 If the warning message is displayed in
the cluster, the driving information
message may not be displayed.
僅 To set the charging time and/or cli -
mate time, refer to a separately sup -
plied car navigation system manual
for detailed information.
僅 If the icy road warning appears whilst
driving, you should drive more atten -
tively and safely refraining from over-
speeding, rapid acceleration, sudden
braking or sharp turning, etc.
僅 When there is a malfunction with the
Electronic Stability Control (ESC), the
Electronic Control Suspension (ECS)
warning message may appear as well
as the Electronic Stability Control
(ESC) indicator light.
