1. Turn the ignition key counterclockwise to the ROS
position to engage the ROS.
2. Slowly push down the rearward pedal to start
movement.
3. Turn the ignition key clockwise to the engine ON (I)
position to disengage the ROS.
To stop the engine
1. Disengage the cutting deck. Refer to
disengage the cutting deck (TC 112) on page 19 or
To engage and disengage the cutting deck (TC 114)
on page 19 .
2. Turn the ignition key to the OFF (O) position.
3. When the product stops, apply the parking brake.

To get a good cutting result
For best performance, do maintenance on the
product regularly as given in the maintenance

Do not cut a wet lawn. Wet grass can give a bad
cutting result.
Do not use tire chains when you operate the product
with a cutting deck.
Make sure that the cutting deck is level. Refer to
adjust the parallelism of the cutting deck on page
31 .
If the grass is high, start with a high cutting height
and decrease it gradually.

To empty the grass catcher
The product has an alarm that goes off if the grass
catcher is full. To stop the alarm, disengage the cutting
deck. Refer to
deck (TC 112) on page 19 or To engage and disengage
the cutting deck (TC 114) on page 19 .
1. Move the product to a location where you can empty
2. Make sure that the pedals are in the neutral position
3. Pull up the grass catcher handle to the highest
