5.3.3 Configuring the external alarm

The External alarm menu allows the user to configure the settings associated with the
external alarm input, i.e., its behavior and the actions that are triggered when it switches.

The external alarm status must be enabled to display the other items in the Ext. alarm
menu, except for the Normal state item. Normal state can be configured before enabling
the external alarm to avoid false alarms.
a) Configuration of the external alarm
The external alarm can have the following configurations:
Disabled: a status change on the input will not have any effect
Set alarm level 1: a status change on the input will trigger alarm level 1
Set alarm level 2: a status change on the input will trigger alarm level 2
Set alarm levels 1&2: a status change on the input will trigger alarm levels 1&2
b) External alarm alternate name
An alternate name allows to give a specific name to the external alarm, so that it can be
displayed on the screen in the event of an alarm is triggered.
