6.3. JBOD
In JBOD mode ( Just a Bunch of Disks), the two
physical disks work as two independent hard drives in
one single housing so that two logical volumes mount
on the desktop. If one physical disk fails, its data are
become inaccessible, but the second disk continues to
work independently.
In certain configuration, using a powerful computer
with under-exploited resources, JBOD mode can be
faster than Fast mode when using the native RAID 0
software of the computer operating system.
