2.2. Connecting the eSATA Cable

1. Make sure you have a compatible SATA II PCI-X or
PCI-E card installed on your computer. Most com-
puters do not ship with SATA ports, so a PCI card
must be installed.

3. Plug one end of the eSATA cable to the eSATA port
on your host computer (Fig. 2.2-A).
4. Connect the other end of the cable to the eSATA
port on the 2big (Fig. 2.2-B).

will remain active and the eSATA connection will
be disabled.
