- Page 5 Removing Wooden Strips 1. Before removing the wooden strip place the side rails and backrest into their up position (Fig 5). Back Rest Fig 5 Head End 2. On the side which the grab handle is to be fitted and at the head end of the bed, unscrew the two shoulder screws using a 5mm allen key and remove wooden strip (Fig 6).
- Page 6 Fitting Grab Handle – FREEDOM II BED NOTE: Prior to installation of the grab handle it is recommended that the side rails of the Freedom II bed are removed. This is in order to conform with safety standards relating to finger entrapment points between the grab handle and the side rails.
