RECORDING
@ Before turning on the POWER switch, ensure that.the TIMER
switch is set to OFF. If the TIMER switch is set to REC, RELAY
REC or PLAY, recording or playback will begin automatically
approximately 8 seconds after the POWER switch is turned on.
1. Press the POWER switch .
2. Place the cassettes on the tray. :
Press. the OPEN/CLOSE 'button and the tray will automatically
slide out. Insert the cassette so that the "A" side is on the left
and the exposed (tape) side is facing down. The tray can hold up
to 6 cassettes at once. :
4, Press one of the CASSETTE NUIVMBER buttons to load the
cassette for recording.
5. Select the tape transport mode with the REVERSE MODE
switch. ;
To record:on-both sides of the tape, set the switch to the "CD"
position. To record on only one side of the tape, set the switch to
the "2" position.
6. Select the Dolby noise reduction systems with the DOLBY
NR switch.
7. Press the recording (@) button to enter the recording standby
mode.
8.. Adjust the recording level using the REC LEVEL control.
Operate the amplifier to play. the source you plan to record and
use the REC LEVEL control to adjust the level to the signal dis-
played on the level meter. (See the "SETTING THE RECORDING
LEVEL" section.)
9. Start recording by pressing the appropriate play (> or <)}
button or the pause (lf) button.
Single side recording (REVERSE MODE switch: =)
To.record on the forward side of the tape (the left side):
Press the button. (Forward recording)
To record on the reverse side of the tape (the right side):
Press the <4 button. (Reverse recording)
Double side recording (REVERSE MODE switch: C>)
Press the ® button. If the <: button is pressed, recording will
stop after only one side is recorded. Switching from the reverse
direction to the forward direction in this state is not possible.
NOTE: ,
During recording, the CASSETTE RETURN and CASSETTE
NUMBER buttons cannot operate.
To stop recording
Press the stop (&) button.
To pause recording :
Press the pause (H) button. To resume recording, press the
pause button again.or press. the appropriate play (m .or <4)
button.

ENREGISTREMENT
e Avant de mettre sous tension, vérifier que. la commande
TIMER est bien coupée. Si celle-ci est en position REC, RELAY
REC ou PLAY, l'enregistrement ou la lecture va commencer
automatiquement 8 secondes environ apres la mise sous
tension.
1. Appuyer sur linterrupteur POWER.
2. Placer tes cassettes dans le plateau.
Appuyer sur la touche OPEN/CLOSE pour ouvrir automatique-
ment le compartiment a cassettes. Insérer les cassettes de telle
sorte que leur face "A" se trouve sur la gauche et la partie appa-
rente de la bande en bas. Le plateau accepte jusqu'a 6 cassettes
en méme temps.
3. Appuyer sur la touche OPEN/CLOSE pour refermer le
compartiment a cassettes..
4. Appuyer sur l'une des touches de numérotation des
cassettes (CASSETTE NUMBER) pour charger la cassette a
enregistrer.
5. Choisir le mode de défilement de la bande 4 l'aide de la
commande de mode d'inversion (REVERSE MODE).
Pour enregistrer une cassette des deux cétés, mettre cette
commande en position "CD". Pour n'enregistrer que d'un seul
wee
cété de la cassette, mettre la commande en position "=".
6. Choisir le systeme de réduction de bruit Dolby a l'aide de la
commande DOLBY NR.
7. Appuyer sur la touche d'enregistrement (@) pour passer en
mode d'attente d'enregistrement. ;
8. Régler le niveau d'enregistrement 2 l'aide de la commande
REC LEVEL.
Régler |'amplificateur sur la source a partir de laquelle l'enregistrement
va étre réalisé et, a l'aide de la commande REC LEVEL, régler le niveau
sur le signal affiché par le indicateur de niveau. (Voir la section
"REGLAGE DU NIVEAU D'ENREGISTREMENT).
9. Commencer l'enregistrement en appuyant sur lune des
touches marche ( ou <i) ou appuyer sur la touche pause (11).
Enregistrement d'un seul cété (commande REVERSE
MODE: =) :
Pour enregistrer au recto de la bande (cété gauche):
Appuyer sur la touche » (Enregistrement au recto)
Pour enregistrer au verso de la bande (c6té droit):
Appuyer sur la touche < (Enregistrement au verso)
Enregistrement des deux coétés {commande REVERSE
MODE: CD) ;
Appuyer sur la touche m. Si la touche < est enfoncée, l'enre-
gistrement s'arrétera aprés un seul cété. Le passage entre le
sens inverse et le sens avant n'est pas possible.
REMARQUE:
Pendant un enregistrement, il n'est pas possible d'utiliser les
commandes CASSETTE RETURN (renvoi de cassette) et
CASSETTE NUMBER (numérotation de cassette),
Pour interrompre lenregistrement
Appuyer sur la touche arrét (B). :
Pour faire une pause pendant l'enregistrement
Appuyer. sur la touche pause (M)..Pour reprendre |l'enregistre-
ment, appuyer 4 nouveau sur cette touche ou appuyer sur une
des touches marche (> ou <).
