PLAYBACK
NOTE:
When loading tapes with different Dolby NR settings adjust to
the appropriate settings as necessary during playback.
7. Start playback by pressing the appropriate play (> or <j}
button,
Single side playback (REVERSE MODE switch: = }
To play the forward side of the tape (the left side):
Press the ®.button.
To play the reverse side of the tape (the right side):
Press the < button.
Double side playback (REVERSE MODE switch: CD }
Press the > button to begin playback from the forward side or
press the <¢ button to: begin playback from the reverse side.
To stop playback
Press the stop.{&) button.
To temporarily pause playback
Press the pause (If) button. To resume playback, press the
pause button again.
To fast-forward or rewind the tape
@ Perform this operation when the unit is in stop mode. if the
tape is playing, press the stop (@). button before carrying out
this operation.
When the forward tape transport indicator is lit, press the. me
button to fast-forward the tape toward the end, or press the
*#< button to rewind the tape toward the beginning.
When the reverse tape transport indicator is lit, press the >>
button to rewind the tape toward the beginning, or press the
~¢<¢ button to fast-forward the tape toward the end.
To search for the beginning of a selection
Press the << or Br button during. playback (MUSIC SEARCH
pages 26, 27).
RELAY PLAYBACK
The order of playback will go from the lowest numbered
cassette to the highest numbered cassette if the RELAY
button is pressed during playback, or if the RELAY button is
pressed in the stop mode and then the play {© or <) button
is pressed.
RANDOM PLAYBACK
If the RANDOM button is pressed in the stop mode or in the
playback mode, the playback of all cassettes 'on the tray will
be in random order. (The RANDOM indicator will light up).
The unit will stop when one side (in the [7 mode) or both
sides (in the CD) mode) have been fully played back.
NOTE:
if a blank section is played back for approximately 15
seconds, the blank skip function will come into effect The
tape is automatically forwarded to the beginning of the next

selection and then playback begins.

REMARQUE:

pendant ia lecture.
7. Commencer la lecture en appuyant sur l'une des touches
marche (@ ou <j).
Lecture d'un seul cété (commande REVERSE MODE: = }
Pour lire ie recto de la bande (cété gauche):
Appuyer sur la touche &.
Pour lire le verso de la bande (cété droit):
Appuyer sur la touche <.
Lecture des deux cétés (commande REVERSE MODE: CD}
Appuyer sur la touche pour commencer la lecture par le recto
de la bande ou appuyer sur la touche < pour commencer la
lecture par le verso de la bande.
@ Sil'on n'appuie pas sur l'une des touches de numéro de cas-
sette (CASSETTE NUMBER), la cassette du plus petit numéro
sera alors chargée.
Pour interrompre la lecture
Appuyer sur la touche arrét (&).
Pour faire une pause pendant Ia lecture
Appuyer sur la touche pause (ii). Pour reprendre la lecture,
appuyer a nouveau sur cette touche.
Pour avancer rapidement la bande ou rebobiner
e@ Procéder a cette opération quand le lecteur est en mode arrét.
Si la bande est en cours. de lecture, appuyer sur la touche
arrét (2) avant de procéder.
Lorsque l'indicateur de transport de bande vers l'avant est
allumé,appuyer sur la touche B® pour rapidernent avancer la
bande jusqu'a la fin, ou appuyer sur la touche << pour rem-
bobiner la bande jusqu'au début.
Lorsque l'indicateur de transport de bande vers l'arriére est
allumé, appuyer sur la touche » pour rembobiner la bande
jusqu'au début, ou appuyer sur la touche << pour rapide-
ment avancer la bande jusqu'a la fin.
Pour rechercher le début d'une plage musicale
Appuyer sur la touche << ou Be pendant la lecture. (RE-
CHERCHE DE PLAGES MUSICALES — pages 26, 27)

Pour procéder 4 la lecture des cassettes dans |'ordre
croissant de leur numérotation, appuyer sur la touche RELAY
pendant la lecture ou appuyer sur la touche RELAY en mode
arrét puls appuyer sur la touche:marche (ou <<); :
LECTURE AU HASARD
Pour procéder a une lecture au hasard de toutes. is cassettes
chargées sur le plateau, appuyer sur la touche RANDOM:en
mode arrét ou-en mode. lecture. (Le teémoin RANDOM
s'aliume.) Le jecteur-s'arréte quand une. des 'faces. a été Jue
{mode <= } ou quand les deux faces ont été lues (mode CD ).
REMARQUE:
Si la bande comprend un espace vierge d'environ 15
secondes, la fonction de saut des espaces vierges entre en
effet. La bande avance automatiquement au début de" la
plage musicale suivante et la lecture reprend.
