Accuracy
The reading of cover will only
be
accurate
if all
the following conditions are satisfied:

The instrument has been zeroed
.
The search head is
overthe centreline
ofthe
bar.
.
The search head
is oarallel to the
bar
.
The search head
is not
over, or
near,
any other
bars
which might affect the
readingo
lf
the reinforcement
bar
is
too deep
to
measure successfully (over-range), the depth
of
cover will
be
displayed as infinite (Figure
13).
