4.5 BRAKE ADJUSTMENT

Check that the brakes are correctly adjusted as
follows:
P The brake lever and the Bowden cables
must not be loose (they must not have any
"play").
P When you release the brake lever, the
wheels must turn without making any
scraping noises.
P If the braking effect has deteriorated, it is
possible to adjust the length of the
Bowden cables a little yourself. Proceed as
follows in this case:
1. You will find the adjustment screws for the
Bowden cables on the brakes of the rear
wheels (1, Fig. 7).
2. By unscrewing (counterclockwise) you will
increase the tension and reduce the distance
that the brake lever travels when applied (2,
Fig. 7).
3. The screw is locked using a nut. You will
have to tighten the lock nut in a clockwise
direction (3, Fig. 7) after adjustment to pre-
vent the brake cables from coming loose on
their own.

4.6 FOLDING AND UNFOLDING YOUR ROLLATOR

It is easy to fold up the TAiMA VENTUM by
hand. It can stand freely when folded and can
be stored in a way that saves space.
