4 USING THE PRODUCT

4.1 WALKING WITH YOUR ROLLATOR

You will find information here on how to walk
safely with your TAiMA VENTUM:
1. Position yourself behind the rollator and
grab the push handles with both hands.
2. As soon as you are safely stood up, you can
loosen both parking brakes (see also section
"Applying the parking brakes").
3. You can now start walking.
4. Do not push the rollator too far in front of
you. In order to give good support, the rolla-
tor should be kept close to your body.
5. Control your speed if necessary by gently
applying both brake levers evenly (see also
section "Applying the service brakes").
6. Walk upright and look forwards to be able
to identify and avoid any upcoming obsta-
cles early.
7. Use the brake (pull the brake lever upwards)
on sloping paths and do not use paths that
are excessively steep.
8. Do not walk backwards with your rollator.
