Altronix Pace2KRT Installation Manual

Pace2KRT is a long range Ethernet adapter kit that transmits data and power via UTP (2-wire, twisted
pair) in a PoE(+) compliant format. Pace1KR receiver is powered via a PoE midspan/endspan, such
as the Altronix Netway series. The receiver passes the PoE compliant power over UTP to the Pace2KT
transceiver which, in turn, provides two (2) PoE enabled ports: typically, one port for IP camera/device
and the other to continue Ethernet pair to next Pace2KRT kit or another IP camera/device. These plug
and play, cost-effective solutions facilitate IP devices that need to be installed at greater distances such
as in elevator shafts, tunnels, bridges, HVAC, etc. supporting deployments over 1000m. Multipoint SPE
configuration also offers a convenient solution to upgrade legacy 2-wire bus networks; LON Protocol,
RS485 to Ethernet Device based networks.
