the case alignment marks
9. Repeat the above steps for the opposite end of
the awning.
10. After both adapter plates with wall brackets are
properly secured, verify that the centerline dis-
tances between the two wall brackets matches
awning wall bracket alignment decals. If the dis-
tances are not correct, adjust the brackets ac-
cordingly.
11. Tighten all of the nuts for the wall bracket. Seal
around any openings with paintable silicone
caulking.
B. INSTALLINg WALL BRACKETS TO FAS-
CIA
For installation of the awning on fascia, follow
the same general procedure as listed for flat sid-
ing with the following difference:
1. All guttering must be removed from the fascia
area where the awning will be hung.
2. Instead of mounting the adapter plate to wall
studs, the adapter plate will be mounted to the
structural rafters.
C. INSTALLINg WALL BRACKETS TO
EAVES
For installation of the awning on eaves, follow
the same general procedure as listed for flat sid-
ing with the following difference:
1. Instead of mounting the adapter plate to wall
studs, the adapter plate will be mounted to the
structural boards to which the eaves are se-
cured.
2. The 90-degree eave adapter (kit # 3312954.005,
sold separately) will be attached to the wall adapt-
er plate.
3. The wall brackets, in turn, will then be installed on
the 90-degree eave adapter.

D. INSTALLINg WALL BRACKETS TO
BRICK OR STONE
For installation of the awning on brick or stone,
follow the same general procedure as listed for
flat siding with the following difference:
1. You may need to locate the center of all of the
studs from the inside of the house and then mea-
sure their locations from the outside openings.
2. After the location of the holes has been marked,
use a ½" masonry bit to drill through the brick or
stone. Be careful not to drill into the studs with
the masonry bit.
3. Insert ½" x 5-1/2" aluminum tubing into each of
the holes. (The tubing can be purchased at a lo-
cal hardware store in 3' sticks and cut into 5-1/2"
pieces using a hacksaw.)
4. Proceed with the installation of the adapter plate
as mentioned above, however use 3/8" x 8" lag
screws rather than those provided with the adapt-
er kit.
