Replacing the battery

About this task
If the standby time for the handset becomes too short, replace the battery with a new one. For
information about new batteries, contact your system administrator or your supplier. The battery
is attached to the inside of the battery lid. The design of the battery attachment ensures correct
alignment while inserting the battery.
Procedure
1. Switch off the handset to prevent data loss or damage to the handset.
2. Slide the battery cover lock to the right to release the battery.
3. Press and hold the upper part of the clip, and then remove the battery from the handset as
shown in the following figure.

4. Press and hold the upper part of the clip, and then insert a fully charged or new battery.
5. Slide the battery cover lock to the left to lock it.
The handset starts automatically after you insert the battery.

Easy replacement of handset

Easy replacement can be used if a handset needs to be replaced due to, for example, a broken
display.
The following settings are replaced during easy replacement:
• DECT registration
• User parameters (including User ID)
• Contacts
• The extension number is assigned to the new handset.
