CUSTOMIZE TOLERANCE LEVELS
The following steps describe the procedure to change tolerances for
the VRTEX:
1. Select Tolerances.
2. Select Create New.
3. Enter a new tolerance name on the keyboard screen.
4. Select Continue.
5. Scroll through "Choose Tolerance Setup" menu to display the
desired tolerance.
6. Select the Select Tolerance icon when the desired name is
displayed in the field.
NOTE: When desired tolerance name is properly selected, that name
will be displayed at the top of the screen next to "Current
Tolerance".
7. Select "Customize".
8. The user selects which configuration to modify. See Figure 63.

10. The equipment settings screen allows for the modification of the
following welding parameters (See Figure 65):
• Wire Feed Speed
• Amperage
• Voltage
• Polarity

11. The gas screen allows for the modification of the following
welding parameters (See Figure 66):
• Gas Mixture Selected
• Gas Flow Rate
• Preflow
• Postflow
