Diagnos琀椀 cs
There are several diagnos琀椀 cs tests that you may be asked to perform by Janome technical support or
authorized Janome representa琀椀 ves. These func琀椀 ons test the mo琀椀 on encoders, the motor control func琀椀 ons,
the key switches, and the internal posi琀椀 on sensors.

To perform the Motor Sensor Test T
The Motor Sensor test helps you determine whether they may be a problem with the Quilt Maker Pro 16
motor.
• Press the Motor Sensor Test bu琀琀 on. Slowly rotate the hand wheel. While rota琀椀 ng, you should hear
an audible pulsing beep. If you get a constant solid beep or no beep at all, the test has failed and
the machine should be inspected by a qualifi ed Janome repair technician.
T To perform the Needle Sensor Test
The Needle Sensor test indicates whether the needle posi琀椀 on sensor is func琀椀 oning properly.

• Touch the Tools bu琀琀 on in the toolbar. Then touch the Diagnos琀椀 cs bu琀琀 on.
Perform diagnos琀椀 cs tests as needed. Press the Home bu琀琀 on to return to the
Main screen. Touch the Tools bu琀琀 on to return to the Tools main menu.
