Selecting Asynchronous Terminal Emulation
Turn the Xstation power on and wait for the LAN Statistics Screen to be displayed. Pressing
F11 while the LAN Statistics Screen is displayed will display the Asynchronous Terminal
Emulation screen. Configure the async terminal to match its host's setup by pressing F11.

If you are using the Xstation as an asynchronous terminal, you cannot use it as an X
terminal. Also, if you are using the Xstation as an X terminal, you cannot use it as an
asynchronous terminal.
If the terminal doesn't immediately begin to operate, do the following:
1. Ensure that your terminal cable is connected properly. ~
2. Ensure that your terminal setup matches your host's setup and that the terminal cable is
connected to the selected terminal port.
3. If the problem persists, go to "Recommended Actions (RA1)" on page 3-7.
