    Wireless mic while docked. The Charge base also facilitates all pairing and audio communication to the microphone while in use. The Axon Fleet 3 Hub can support up to 2 Wireless Microphones and 2 Charge bases per vehicle.
  • Page 6: Getting To Know The Axon Fleet 3 Wireless Microphone

    Microphone system. Axon Fleet 3 Wireless Microphone and Lapel Microphone Top Status LED – Mirrors the Axon Fleet 3 front camera operating mode, except for error states. When initially powering on the Wireless Microphone, the LED will remain solid red until the Wireless Microphone is placed in pairing mode.

    1.5 hours after a typical 12-hour shift. Charging is done through the Fleet 3 charging base. The microphone charges when docked in the Charging base, mounted inside a Fleet 3 enabled vehicle. Dock the microphone into the charging base to charge it back to full.

The LEDs will display as yellow when below 100% charge, and the LEDs will change to green when fully charged.

    Note: No audio is recorded while the mic is docked. Firmware Updates Firmware updates for the Axon Fleet 3 Wireless Microphone and Charging Base are executed through the Fleet Dashboard application. Note: Always dock the Wireless Microphone before installing a Fleet 3 update so the Wireless Microphone also receives the latest update.

    Axon Fleet 3 Wireless Microphone Installation and User Manual Operation Overvie w This section will cover all controls, operations, and status messages for the Fleet 3 Wireless Microphone. Power On Control: Press the Power Button until short vibration is felt.

    Axon Fleet 3 Wireless Microphone Installation and User Manual Power Off Control: Press and hold Power button for 3 seconds. Power down sound, devices turns off. Ready to Record Control: This is the default state after pairing a Wireless Microphone.

Battery Status: Critical Control: Battery reaches 20%, 15%, 10%, 5% Battery critical icon with charge percentage shown on LCD, periodic haptic and sound warnings, emits 4 beeps and haptic vibrations every 20 seconds.

    Axon Fleet 3 Wireless Microphone Installation and User Manual Backlight Light On/Off Control: Double-press the Select button. Backlit display stays on for 5 seconds then turns off. Stealth On Control: Press and hold the Volume Down button for 3 seconds.

    Axon Fleet 3 Wireless Microphone Installation and User Manual Volume Up Control: Press the Volume Up button. The Volume icon increases and the Wireless Microphone’s speaker beeps at the new volume level. Note: This does not change the volume of the video recording, only the volume of the microphone’s speaker.

    Axon Fleet 3 Wireless Microphone Installation and User Manual Mute Off Control: Press and hold the Select button for 3 seconds. The Mute icon is removed, followed by a short vibration and sound. The LED goes back to blinking red to reflect active recording state.

    Axon Fleet 3 Wireless Microphone Installation and User Manual Recording Start Control: Double-press the Event button. The LEDs will blink red, "RECORDING" word and icon will appear on the LCD display, and the device will emit a sound and haptic vibration every 2 minutes while recording.

Sound and haptic vibration reminders emit every 10 seconds while out of range. Error If the Wireless Microphone encounters an error state, please restart the Wireless Microphone to recover it.
