requirements, review (1) the "ReadMe" file on the Installer CD, or (2)
updates posted on the WatchGuard support Web site.

What's next

Once the appliance has been powered on and is ready, you can now
install the Vcontroller software on your workstation as described in one of
these operating-system sections.
The Vcontroller is a stand-alone Java application that can be used in the
following software environments: Microsoft Windows 98/Me, Windows
NT 4.0/2000/XP , Red Hat Linux/ 6.0, Sun SPARC station running
Solaris 2.5.x, 2.6, 2.7 and 2.8. For more up-to-date information, please
review the Release Notes on the Installation CD.

Installing the Vcontroller (Windows)

Before proceeding with the following, make sure you have all of the
network addressing information that will represent your new Firebox
Vclass security appliance. This includes the IP addresses and
accompanying subnet masks that will replace the default addressing
