Memory Protection Battery
Totalized sales and other items are protected during power failures by a
built-in memory protection battery. If the power goes out during a read or
reset operation, data can be reprinted from the beginning by pressing the
Cash Amount
Tendered key when power is restored. The memory
protection battery is constantly charging and discharging as you switch
the cash register on and off during normal operations. This causes battery
capacity to decrease after approximately two years of use.
Remember...a weak battery can result in the loss of valuable transaction data.
A label on the back of the cash register shows the normal service period of the
battery installed in you cash register. Have the battery replaced by your dealer
within the period noted on this label.
