HOW TO USE THIS MANUAL
This manual consists of the following 9 sections:
PREPARATIONS
Describes how to hook up the XR-M99 Compact Disc Stereo
System, how to turn on and off the system, and how to use the
remote control. This chapter also explains how to set the system's
clock, how to turn on and off the power economizing mode, and
how to change the brightness of the display.
SOUND
Describes how to adjust the playback sound to your preference.
RADIO RECEPTION
Explains how to use the TX-LM99 Stereo Tuner.
CD PLAYING
Explains how to use the DX-LM99 Compact Disc Player.
USING THE OPTIONAL STEREO CASSETTE DECK
This section describes how to connect the FX-LM99 optional
Stereo Cassette Deck to the system, and how to use it to playback
tapes and record onto tapes.
USING THE OPTIONAL MINI DISC RECORDER
This section describes how to connect the AM-LM99 optional
Mini Disc Recorder to the system, and how to use it to playback
MDs, record onto MDs, and edit the recorded contents on MDs.
TIMER
Explains how to use the timer playback, timer recording, and
sleep timer functions of the system.
OTHER CONNECTIONS
Describes how to connect and listen to external sound sources.

This section contains the useful information such as "care and
