Overview

The PFV-D300 Digital Video Interface Unit is an
apparatus for interfacing various kinds of equipment to
process analog and digital video signals. The unit is
composed of a power block, a main board, and 14 slots
to accommodate optional boards. When an optional
board is installed into one of the slots, the power is
supplied from the PFV-D300 to the board, and the
function of the board is activated. Select the
appropriate optional boards and install them into the
PFV-D300, allowing the unit to execute various signal
processing functions.
Installing an optional backup power supply unit will
allow power supply from two different sources, to
assure reliable operation.

Features

Operation monitoring and self-diagnosis via
the ISR (Interactive Status Reporting) system
When the optional BKPF-500 ISR Interface Board is
installed, the unit can be connected to the ISR system,
permitting the power supply in the PFV-D300 and the
operating status of the installed boards to be
intensively watched from a computer.
Various kinds of signal processing with

optional boards

Installing the appropriate optional boards, various
functions regarding serial digital video signals can be
processed in the single PFV-D300 unit.
Up to fourteen boards can be installed in combination
in the PFV-D300.

Reliable operation assured by two AC inlets
and optional backup power supply unit
Attaching the optional BKPF-PS300 Backup Power
Supply Unit enables the PFV-D300 to be supplied with
power from two separate lines. If one of the power
blocks stops supplying power, the other block will
supply full power. Thus, highly reliable operation is
maintained.
Rack mounting
The unit can be mounted in a 19-inch standard rack.
Optional Boards
Select boards with the required functions, and install
them in slots of the PFV-D300.

This board converts a composite analog video signal
into a composite serial digital video signal.
BKPF-101CA A/D Converter Board
(Component)
This board converts a component analog video signal
into a component serial digital video signal.
BKPF-102/102P D/A Converter Board
(Composite)
This board converts a composite serial digital video
signal into a composite analog video signal.
BKPF-102CA D/A Converter Board (Component)
This board converts a component serial digital video
signal into a component analog video signal.
BKPF-103 Video Distribution Board
This board distributes a composite or component serial
digital video signal to seven outputs.

This board demultiplexes a composite serial digital
