Overview

The HKPF-106 HD Audio/Video Demultiplexer Board
is designed to demultiplex a multiplexed signal
comprising audio and video signals contained in an
HD (high-definition) serial digital interface signal
(conforms to the SMPTE 291M/292M/299M).
The HKPF-106 can be installed in the PFV-HD300
Digital Video Interface Unit. When installed, the
HKPF-106 draws its power from the interface unit.
Since the HKPF-106 shares the same dimensions and
voltage specifications as the other HKPF-series boards
for the PFV-HD300, it can be used in any combination
with the other boards, thus providing high flexibility in
system configurations.

Features of the HKPF-106

Demultiplexing and distribution of audio
and video signals
The HKPF-106 demultiplexes two 2-channel AES/
EBU digital audio signals contained in an HD serial
digital interface signal and outputs the demultiplexed
audio and video signals to two lines.
Selectable channels for audio signal
output
You can select channels 1 to 4 or 5 to 8 for output of
the demultiplexed digital audio signals.
Switchable channels for audio signal
output
You can switch the signal contents of audio channels 1
to 4 or 5 to 8 to output the demultiplexed audio signals
to different channels.
Demultiplexing of up to eight audio
channels
By cascading the HKPF-106 with another HKPF-106,
you can demultiplex up to eight audio channels at the
same time.
Automatic input-signal-format detection
The HKPF-106 can detect and automatically conform
to the field frequency (59.94 Hz or 60 Hz) and the
number of effective scanning lines (1,035 lines or
1,080 lines) in an HD serial digital interface signal.
ISR function
The HKPF-106 supports the ISR (Interactive Status
Reporting) function.
