REMOVAL
The sheave and drive ring assembly is easily
serviced by removing it and the cutterhead
clutch assembly as a unit.
1. Remove shields over the clutch assembly.
2. Remove main drive belt (see "Replacing
Main Drive Belts").
3. Remove the drive shaft to the cutterhead
gearbox by removing the driveline shear
bolts and unbolting the shaft at A, Figure
1-13.
4. Remove the cutterhead clutch cable and
mounting bracket, A, Figure 1-12. Remove
the blower belt, B, and the support bracket,
C, Figure 1-12.
5. Remove the hydrostatic control cable and
mounting bracket, A, Figure 1-14. Remove
the cap screws at B, Figure 1-14, holding
the high pressure tube mounting brackets.
