Headers

Chassis Intrusion
A Chassis Intrusion header is located at JL1 on the motherboard. Attach the appropriate cable
from the chassis to inform you of a chassis intrusion when the chassis is opened. Refer to the
table below for pin definitions.
Fan Headers
There are seven 4-pin fan headers (FAN1–FAN5, FANA, FANB) on the motherboard. All these
4-pin fan headers are backwards compatible with the traditional 3-pin fans. However, fan speed
control is available for 4-pin fans only by Thermal Management via the IPMI 2.0 interface. Refer
to the table below for pin definitions.
