What appears to be a malfunction may not always be serious. A simple mis-operati
for service, first check the following items.

. The speaker cords are disconnected.
The speaker cords are short-circuited.
. Set the SPEAKERS
key to ON.
. Connect
the
cords
securely
speaker terminals.
. Connect the speaker cords properly.

speaker
level
to an
optimum level.
. Set the Surround mode to SIMULATED.
The remote control does not work.
The DELAY TIME switch does not work.
Notes:
. The remote
controlling distance
is too
far.
. The batteries are exhausted.

surround
mode
is set to STADIUM,
SIMULATED
or BYPASS.
. Operate the remote control unit from a
closer position.
2. Replace the batteries.
The delay time cannot be adjusted in these
mode.
1. Since this unit is microprocessor-controlled, malfunction may occur due to external noise or interference. In such a case, unplug the
power cord first, then plug it into the power outlet while holding the TUNER key depressed. (Note that this clears the title and Surround
memory.)
2. Do not use contact cleaner for it sometimes cause malfunction.
Specially, contact cleaner containing oil could deform plastic parts.

period of about 3 days while the power cord of the unit
is disconnected from the power outlet. If the memory is

protection circuitry is activated and the sound Is muted.
In such a case, switch the POWER
key to OFF, remove
the short-circuit from the speaker cords, and switch the
POWER
key ON again. Normal operation will resume.
