B.5 First Time Service Tool Users
It is important for first time service tool users to set the system type
to "Optimus EST". This will prevent alarms and set the service tool for
stand alone electronic shift and throttle. The service tool automatically
configures menus to show only items that are relevant to your system.
1. Navigate to Dealer Menu > Initial Setup > System > Select System
Type. Select "Optimus EST".
2. Navigate to Dealer Menu > Initial Setup > System > Select Shift
and Throttle Type. Select either i7700 or i6800 depending on
your system. For i7800 system, use the i7700 selection.
3. Navigate to Dealer Menu > Initial Setup > System > Select number
of devices. Set the number of control heads and engines.
Take note that when backing out of system menu(s) the service tool
will prompt you to power cycle the system. Do this by turning system
power off, then back on.
The service tool will require dealer pin code each time the system is
power cycled.
Your Service tool is now ready to continue with setup in section 4.0.
