    Installation Requirement Do not operate it in an area that exceeds an ambient temperature of 50°C. The installation site should be well-ventilated. Be sure that the converter is level and stable to avoid any hazardous conditions. Do not install the equipment in a dusty environment. The installation site must be free from leaking or dripping water, heavy dew, and humidity.

  • Page 8 2. Install the converters onto the chassis in sequence ( rst install the lower level, then the upper level). Each converter can be xed tightly in the chassis by two screws. 3. Place the chassis into the rack. Align the brackets of the chasis to the side holes on the rack and secure the chassis to the rack with screws.

  • Page 10 Connecting the SC Port Connect one end of a ber optic cable to the SC port and the other end to the ber network. TX and RX must be paired at both ends. NOTE: The converter is installed with the transceiver with SC connector as default.
