1. Turn the DOLBY PRO LOGIC or DOLBY 3CH LOGIC button ON.
2. Select the center mode with the remote control CENTER MODE
button.

LEVEL ADJUSTMENT
For
correct
SURROUND
reproduction,
be sure
to perform
this
adjustment.
1. Use SURROUND
MODE buttons to select DOLBY PRO LOGIC
SURROUND or DOLBY 3 CH LOGIC.
. Use SPEAKERS button to turn on front speakers.
. Adjust MASTER VOLUME to a suitable listening level.
. Press BALANCE L and R buttons together.
Set the remote control Level/Balance select switch to the CENT
position, and adjust using the +, - buttons until the center level
is at its initial value (-16 dB) in the display.

6. Set the remote control Level/Balance select switch to the REAR
Position, and adjust using the +, - buttons until the center level
is at its initial value (-16 dB) in the display.

7. Select the desired CENTER MODE (NORMAL, WIDE, PHANTOM)
with the CENTER MODE button. (See page 6)
© With DOLBY 3CH LOGIC, you can select NORMAL or WIDE; but
you cannot select PHANTOM.
8. Press the remote control TEST TONE button to switch the test tone ON.
9. Adjust so that the volume level is the same from each of the
speakers.
¢ Adjust front speaker balance with the receiver balance butions.

the +, — buttons.
¢ For the rear speakers, set the remote control Level/Balance select
switch to the REAR (REAR BAL) position, and adjust the balance
with the L, R buttons, and the level with the +, — buttons. (Only
when DOLBY PRO LOGIC SURROUND is operating.)
10. Press the remote control TEST TONE button to switch the testtone
OFF.
11. Use INPUT SELECTOR button to select your desired source .
12. Adjust the desired sound level by the MASTER VOLUME.
NOTE:
© The TEST TONE turns off if you operate the INPUT SELECTOR.
¢ Remote control buttons will not operate if you press two or more at
the same time. Press the L, R, +, and — buttons one at a time, and
confirm operation by looking at the display or listening to the so.snd.
¢ Tone controls do not operate
when
using DOLBY PRO LOGIC
SURROUND and DOLBY 3CH LOGIC.
SETTING THE DELAY TIME
When using DOLBY PRO LOGIC SURROUND, you can set the delay
time between 15 ms and 30 ms. The standard setting is 20 ms, but
you can select any setting of your choice.
1. Use the JOG MODE button to light the DELAY indicator.
