PARAMETER
CONTROL (GUI OPERATION)
With parameter control, you can specify one of the components in
the system, and adjust parameters such as sound quality.
1. Select the desired system with the SELECTION
button or
SYSTEM SELECTOR
buttons.
2. Press the PARAMETER
button on the remote control.
® The function component selection menu is displayed on the TV
screen.

3. Move the cursor (the hand-shaped mark) to "SELECT!" onthe
tight side of the image of the component you want to make
adjustments to with the 4, V, <), and > buttons, and press
the ENTER button.
®The adjustment menu for the selected function component is
displayed.

Move the cursor to the parameter you want to adjust, press
the ENTER button, and make adjustments.
®Details of each of the component's adjustable parameters
follow in the next section.
5. When
you
have
finished
making
adjustments,
move
the
cursor to "CLOSE!" at the bottom left, and press the ENTER
button.
¢This returns you to the selection menu.

continue
with
adjustments
of
another
component's
parameters, perform procedures 3 and 4 again.
e Moving the cursor to "CLOSE!" at the bottom right of selection
menu, and pressing the ENTER button, clears the menu.
Adjustment
menus
of
each
of
the
function
components
[AMPLIFIER]
MASTER BALANCE (L, R):
Use to adjust overall left and right volume balance. Theimage of the
chair at the right of the menu moves left and right to indicate the
balance.
CENTER (+, —):
Use to adjust center channel volume level. The image of the center
speaker changes size to indicate changes in volume level.
(Not selectable in STEREO (2 ch.) and PHANTOM
(Prologic).)
REAR (L, R):
Use to adjust rear left and right channel volume balance. The images
of the rear speakers on the right of the menu move up andi down to
indicate rear speaker balance.
(Not selectable in STEREO (2 ch.) and 3CH LOGIC.)
REAR (+, —):
Use to adjust rear channel volume level. The images of the rear
speakers change size to indicate changes in volume level. (Not
selectable in STEREO (2 ch.) and 3CH LOGIC.)
DSSS:
Switches DSSS (Digital Simulated Stereo Sound) ON/OF F.
[DSSS]
This operates even when a monaural signal is input intobo th the left
and right channels, or only one of the channels. Whe: @ signal is
input into only one channel, the output level is lower thin ~when the
signal is input into both the left and right channels.
You can also enjoy combining it with surround mode other than
DOLBY PRO LOGIC SURROUND or DOLBY 3CH LOGIC
TEST TONE:
Switches the test tone for system volume level balanceac# justment
ON/OFF. (Not selectable in STEREO (2 ch.).)
FLAT:
Sets volume level balance of all speakers to the initial leei settings.
