@ Headphone jack (PHONES) (3.5 mm dia. stereo mini)
Connect headphones {impedance 16Q to 1 kQ) to this jack.
Speaker sound is automatically switched off when the headphones
are connected.

Preparation before use
@ Installing battertes in the remote contro! unit
1, Remove the battery cover from the back of the remote control unit.
2. Insert two "RG/AA (15F)" size batteries.
@ Insert the batteries with the ® and © terminals
matching the
indication inside the battery compartment.
3. Replace the cover.
© Battery replacement
When the remote controt operation becomes unstable or the distance
from which remote control is possible decreases, replace the batteries.
Insert the © ends first.
Using the remote controi unit
Point at the remote sensor and operate within about 7 m (approx. 23
ft).
@ The remote control range is less when the unit is used at an angle.
Do not expose the remote sensor to strong direct sunlight or artificial
lighting.
@ Make sure that there are no obstacles between the remote sensor and
the unit.
The following operations can be performed using the remote contro!
unit.
© Check the operation button functions carefully and operate them
@ Track number buttons (No. 1 to No. 10, +10)
Preset station buttons (No. 1 to No. 10, +10)
@ COUNTER RESET button
© FM STEREO AUTO/MONO button
@ PROGRAM button
@ DISC CONTROL buttons (@-@)
© CD tray («) open/close buttons (Disc 1 — Disc 3)
@ SLEEP button
@ d/I button
e When the main unit power is supplied from batteries, this /) button
cannot turn on the main unit power (In this case, switch on the (/#
button of the main unit first.)
@ RANDOM button
@ REPEAT button
© Buttons not mentioned here have the same functions as those on
the main unit.
