5.Removal of Main Parts
Mi Removing the Front and Rear Cabinet
Assemblies
1. Remove the battery cover from behind the body (See
Fig. 5-1).
2. Remove
the six screws
@ retaining the rear cabinet
assembly (See Fig. 5-1).
3. Remove the two screws
@ retaining the handle (See
Fig. 5-1).
4. While spreading the mating face of front cabinet and
rear
cabinet
assemblies,
remove
the
font
cabinet
assembly.
Then, the speaker connector on the front
cabinet side will be disconnected
from the connector
CN192
on the power supply P.C. board
in the rear
cabinet assembly.
At the same
time, the connector
CN252 on the CD tray operating switch P.C. board on
the front cabinet assembly side will also be disconnected
from the connector CN407 on
the main amp. assembly
(See Fig. 5-2).

Mechanism
and
CD
Traverse Mechanism Unit
. Remove the front cabinet assembly.
Disconnect the two card wires outgoing from the CD
traverse mechanism unit respectively from the connector
CN404 on the main amp. P.C. board and the connector
CN903 on the LCD & system CPU P.C. board (See Fig.
5-3).
3. From
the connector
CN403
on the main
amp.
P.C.
board, disconnect the card wire outgoing from the tuner
P.C. board (See Fig. 5-2, 3).
. From the connector CN404
on the power supply P.C.
board, disconnect the 6- PIN connector outgoing from
the main amp. P.C. board (See Fig. 5-3).
5. Pull out the cassette mechanism assembly from the rear
cabinet assembly (See Fig. 5-3).
. Pull out the CD traverse mechanism unit from the rear
cabinet assembly (See Fig. 5-3).
