This section explains how the EZcom Pro can be used to make Voice
Carry Over (VCO) and Hearing Carry Over (HCO) calls.
Using Voice Carry Over (VCO)
People who cannot hear well but wish to speak for themselves can
make VCO calls. A VCO call is a combination voice call and TTY
call. You speak to the other person and he or she listens to you and
types responses, which you can read on the EZcom Pro display
screen. The EZcom Pro must be sharing the line with a telephone
before you can use VCO. See Setting up the EZcom Pro with a telephone
on page 10 for more information.
VCO calls can also be made through your Relay service. When you
use Relay, you speak directly to the non-TTY user and the CA types
the replies, which you can read on the EZcom Pro display screen.
