(1) Visually inspect the sliding surface of thrust collar A
or B to check for signs of overheating, scoring, or
cracks.
Replace the collar
if
any abnormal condition is
found.
(2) Measure the thickness of thrust collar A or B, and
replace it when the dimension exceeds the specified
limit.

3-7 Cup spring
(1} Check for cracks and damage to the cup spring.
Replace the part if defective.
{2) Measure the free length of the cup spring. lf the length
or the thickness deviates from the standard size,
replace the part.

3-8 Oil seal of output shaft
Visually inspect the oil seal of the output shaft to check
if
there is any damage or of! leakage; replace the seal when
any abnormal condition is found.
